A very private writer’s retreat located on ten acres with panoramic views of the Sangre De Cristo mountains. You will feel as if you are on top of the world as you drink your morning coffee from the home’s custom cyprus decks and watching the deer that seem to always be there. A great place to get back to nature as you are only a few feet from BLM land with your own private access to hiking on the abandoned mining roads.

Two bedrooms make this a perfect getaway for four people with custom handcrafted finishes inside and out. The master bedroom has a queen bed, its own private deck and many windows to enjoy the mountain views from, a second bedroom sleeps two with a twin trundle bed. There is plenty of room to relax in the living room that has vaulted aspen ceilings and a large sectional couch that folds out into a queen size bed. The family room and dining area will allow your family to gather next to its gas fireplace or for those chilly nights a wood stove. For those seeking a private mountain retreat with rafting outfitters and fishing only 15 minutes away this is a perfect getaway. Bring your ATV, hiking boot’s or mountain bike and explore the established trails that are at your very doorstep. The cabin is located between Salida and Canon City for an easy 40 minute drive to either location.

Rental Rates

Rates based on 4 person occupancy. $10pp/pn for persons above occupancy. No minimum stays however, stays of two nights or less incur a one-time $50 cleaning fee. Weekly price is based on 7 nights and eight days. Applicable sales and lodging taxes apply.

Discounts may be available for smaller or larger groups and for extended periods of time.
