Description

Located in the heart of the fourteeners region, these historic geothermally heated creekside cabins were built in the early 1900's, and renovated in June 2004. They have new plumbing, and electric. The cabins are easily accessed by well maintained, paved county roads, and are only 15 minutes from Buena Vista, and 20 minutes from Salida.

Because of their unique location in between Mt Antero and Mt Princeton, the cabins feel remote, and exotic, with 1000' cliffs rising above the creek. Natural wetlands and a rushing creek surround the property, while Big Horn Sheep and Mountain Goats patrol the nearby cliffs. Each cabin offers a new private hot springs pool just outside their door. These 10' x 12' hand-shaped pools are fed by a mineral-rich (non-sulphur, no smell) hot spring. World class fishing, biking, skiing and hiking are right outside the door. They're sweet!

Hortense Cabin is 1400 sq. ft. and has three bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and great room.

The equally unique but smaller 800 sq ft. Cottonwood Cabin is split level, and sits about a hundred feet away, complimenting the aesthetics, without compromising privacy. Cottonwood has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a kitchen and living room.

The cabins can be rented independently, or as a package, depending upon availability. Come relax creekside! These cabins are truly one of a kind.
